Segersjö is nature. Here lies Hjälmaren, Sweden’s fourth largest lake, with an abundance of bird species and good fishing. The lake’s fish include perch, pike, pike-perch, eel and last but certainly not least, crayfish.

Segersjö also has two artificial lakes. The park lake, in which the manor is mirrored, is part of the cross-country course in our eventing competitions – but there are also fish and crayfish there. The large newly-made scenic lake will soon become an arena for Segersjö’s “hotel area”. During the winter of 2004/2005, the first of eight pile-dwellings will be built, drawn out on the lake with sleds and then anchored. Each house will have room for eight guests, a fireplace, bathroom with shower, and breakfast area with a beautiful view of the lake. How to get to one’s dwelling? By rowing, of course…

Segersjö has a lovely park landscape with ancient oaks, but also wooded land. This means that we can offer our guests all kinds of hunting – clay pigeon shooting practice as well as birds and small and big game. We especially welcome ladies who would like to take their hunting exam, or those who have already taken it but who don’t have their own hunting grounds.

The newly-built pool house just beside the manor is a gem for our guests’ well-being. Inside the pool house is a sauna, steam bath, fireplace and rooms for both conference meetings and pure relaxation. A dip in the pool outside completes the picture perfectly – or perhaps a soothing full-body massage?
Now and then we arrange concerts and other cultural events at Segersjö, indoors or outdoors depending on the season and the weather. Keep your eyes and ears open, and do drop by sometime to enrich your soul a little.
